Course Goal

The IBM pSeries Troubleshooting Class will prepare students to operate, configure and maintain IBM’s pSeries Servers. In this course, students will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to work with IBM’s management tools to configure pSeries servers, troubleshoot faulty components to the Field Replaceable Unit (FRU), leverage Internet resources, and use device replacement to restore desktop systems to proper functioning order.

Audience

This course is intended for field service and support personnel.

Training Methodology

This course uses active learning to involve the students in their classroom learning and to develop practices that will encourage continuous self-learning. Students will meet the course objectives through interactive classroom discussion, focused hands-on lab exercises and self-guided research.

Course Prerequisites

Knowledge of computer hardware/software components and experience troubleshooting computer systems is required.
