Course Goal

Akibia's Red Hat Enterprise Linux Management II course will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to install and configure common network services and implement security at a basic level. Successful completion of this course and Red Hat I will also prepare students to take the RHCE exam.

Audience

This course is designed for IT professionals who need to gain the foundational skills necessary to install and administer an Enterprise Linux system or pursue the RHCE certification.

Training Methodology

This course uses active learning to involve the student in their classroom learning and to develop practices that will encourage continuous self-learning. Students will meet the course objectives through interactive classroom discussion, focused hands-on lab exercises, self-guided research, and scenario-based troubleshooting.

Prerequisites

  • Akibia's Red Hat Enterprise Linux I or Akibia's Accelerated Linux Administration
  • Experience performing Linux administration at the single workstation level
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts
  • Effective group discussion skills
