Course Goal
The HP V-Class Server Maintenance Course is a 3-day technical training course which will prepare students to operate and maintain the HP V-Class Server.
Audience
This course is intended for Field Service and Support personnel.
Training Methodology
This course uses active learning to involve the students in their classroom learning and to develop practices that will encourage continuous self-learning. Students will meet the learning objectives through interactive classroom discussion, focused hands-on lab exercises, self-guided research and scenario-based troubleshooting.
Course Scope
The course includes the following products:
- HPUX 10.20, HPUX 11
- HP V2250 Server
- HP 712 System Console
- V-Class online and offline diagnostics
Course Objectives
Upon completion, students will be able to:
- Identify HP V-Class models
- Describe key features of the HP V-Class Server
- Identify, remove/replace server components
- Interpret power-on sequence and identify errors
- Use GUI and command line commands to obtain server status and configuration information
- Isolate server hardware faults to the FRU using LEDs and diagnostic tools
- Research component part numbers and replace faulty FRUs
Course Prerequisites
Akibia's HP9000 Maintenance Course or equivalent experience with HP systems is required.
Course Length
HP V-Class Server Maintenance is 3 days. Class size is limited to 6 students.
